Mercer County Community College (MCCC) is set to hold an Open House for the Center for Continuing Studies (CCS) on Thursday, September 10, 2015. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Center located at 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor.

This fall, the Center for Continuing Studies is set to offer a wide array of certificate programs in business and technology designed to enhance and reboot careers. Thanks to a program funded through the U.S. Department of Labor and the N.J. Department of Labor and Workforce Development, New Jersey residents who are unemployed or under employed for six months or more may be eligible for a New Jersey Ready to Work grant to cover their education costs.

Among the CCS programs that qualify for Ready to Work grants are Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Project Management Professional Prep and Review. A number of programs in healthcare, information technology and advanced manufacturing may also qualify for state funding. (Preference is given to military veterans. Grantees must be able to document that they have job offers contingent upon their successful completion of training.) To learn more about this program, call CCS at (609) 570-3311 or visit the state’s website at rtwnj.org.

More information on Ready for Work will be provided at the September 10 Open House. Registration for the free event is requested by calling (609) 570-3311. All registrants will be entered into a drawing to win a free personal interest class valued up to $100.
