Princeton Academy students James McCann-Anthony and Luke Seruma show off their finishing medals from last year’s Strong Kids Triathlon.

The Princeton Family YMCA, along with support from Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, is set to to host the fifth annual Strong Kids Triathlon.

This year’s triathlon includes events for children ages three to five, six to eight, nine to 10 and 11 to 12. Distances are specific for each age group and are set to provide a fun, exciting experience for every child.

The Strong Kids Triathlon includes laps in the YMCA pool, laps on bicycles (or tricycles) and finishes with laps around the baseball field.

The YMCA is set to award each child with a medal and T-shirt.

Bicycles and helmets are required for this event, but are not provided.

Strong Kids Triathlon is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 4 at Princeton Family YMCA, 59 Paul Robeson Place, Princeton.

Registration is $20.

Proceeds from the Strong Kids Triathlon are set to support scholarships for members of the community to participate in YMCA program offerings.
