Destribats Campbell, LLC, has been a Hamilton institution since 1974, but the new year should be a big one for the firm.

Earlier this year, Destribats Campbell LLC received the final approvals to build a 10,800-square foot building across the street from their current location. After nearly four decades of being located at 247 White Horse Ave., the firm will break ground in the spring for their new location, which will double their office space from 2,500 square feet to 5,400 square feet, and include much more room for storage.

Partner Anthony Destribats is excited about the move.

“The expanded process allows us to have more attorneys to provide more services to the township and county,” he said. “I am looking forward to expanding my father’s legacy. My father has always had a contract with the municipality. We want to continue giving back to the people of the township and the people of the community.”

Attorneys Brian J. Duff and Nicholas R. Pantages are recent additions to the firm, which also includes founder Jay Destribats, and partners Bernard Campbell, Anthony Destribats, Raymond Staub and William Burns. All of their attorneys are admitted to the New Jersey Bar. Certain members are also admitted to New York, Pennsylvania and Florida Bars. This allows the firm to handle certain legal matters in the tri-state area, as well as in Florida. The expansion plans include hiring another associate, as Pantages is currently the sole associate in the practice.

Duff is a graduate of Drew University, and received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. His main areas of practice include: personal injury, civil litigation, municipal court and criminal matters, wills and estate planning, real estate (commercial and residential), commercial/business transactions and advice. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate in various law firms and most recently had his own practice for three years. He has been practicing law for 15 years.

Pantages is an associate with the firm. He is a graduate of Widener University School of Law. Upon graduation, he served as a law clerk for Anthony M. Massi in the Superior Court of New Jersey while simultaneously earning his master of laws in taxation from Villanova School of Law. His areas of practice include: assisting clients with proactive tax planning, tax due diligence, accounting method changes, independent tax opinions, estate planning and estate administration. Other areas of practice include the structure and formation of partnerships and limited liability companies and firm-wide litigation support.

Campbell has been a personal injury and medical malpractice lawyer for more than 40 years, and has been a partner in the firm nearly 30 years. He is one of the senior members of the Mercer County Bar Association, and is a Yale alumnus.

In 2010, Managing Partner Anthony Destribats took over the day to day operations from his father, Jay Destribats. Prior to joining his father’s firm, Destribats was an attorney with Pepper Hamilton LLP in Princeton. His primary focus is in commercial litigation.

Staub is a former prosecutor for the city of Trenton, a former public defender in Ewing Township, and the current public defender in Lawrence and Hamilton townships. He handles all of the federal and state criminal matters as well as all municipal court matters in the firm. Additionally, he handles employment matters, general civil litigation, and expungements.

This October, Staub won his third straight attempted murder/manslaughter trial when Brian Richardson, who had claimed self-defense when he was attacked by a number of individuals outside of Pat’s Diner in January 2010, was found not guilty on all parts.

Burns has been a partner with the firm for the past four years. His specialties include wills and estate work, family law, divorce and child custody cases. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College and received his law degree from the University of Richmond, School of Law.
