The marina at Mercer County Park in West Windsor is set to open for the season May 25. Memorial Day Weekend.
Amenities at the marina include a lakeside boathouse, free boat ramp for launching small sailboats or boats with electric motors, 1,000 square feet of docks and rentals of kayaks, pedal boats and rowboats.
Starting Memorial Day weekend, visitors can rent pedal boats, rowboats and kayaks. Pedal and rowboats accommodate up to four people and are $15 per hour. Single-person kayak rentals will be available for $15 per hour and two-person kayaks are $20 per hour.
Additionally, pontoon boat lake tours will be available for $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and children under 11. The pontoon boat rides are a 50-minutes tours on Saturdays and Sundays, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Tours begin at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The boat has a 15-person capacity.
The snack bar is set to be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The menu features hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream, soft drinks and coffee.
Several musical acts are scheduled to perform at the marina as part of the commission’s Summer Concert Series. Steve Magglio Sinatra Tribute is set to play July 12,. Shorty Long & the Jersey Horns are set for July 26, Tramps Like Us Springsteen Tribute is set for Aug. 9 and Satisfaction Rolling Stones Tribute is set for Aug. 24. Concerts are scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m.
Marina hours of operation for Memorial Day weekend are noon to 6 p.m May 25 through 27.
Regular hours of operation are 12 to 6 p.m. on weekends through June 12. After June 15, hours are 12 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until Labor Day.
Marina hours and boat rentals are weather permitting.
The docks on the Delaware River, located behind Arm & Hammer Park, are available for use by the public. Boat owners have access to the docks now through October with regular hours of sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.
Docks are maintained and operated by the Mercer County Park Commission and allow travelers on the Delaware access to Trenton attractions such as Trenton Thunder games and Rho restaurant and nightclub. The docks are not staffed, patrons are urged to practice water safety precautions.
Rosedale Park in Hopewell Township also offers a 38-acre lake for a variety of outdoor activities. The lake is stocked with trout for fishing and features a public access boat launch open to row boats, canoes and boats with electric motors. Rosedale also has a picnic area, two playgrounds and of hiking trails.
