The D&R Canal Watch’s 22nd annual 5K Fun Run is set for 10 a.m. March 30.
The event is for runners of all ages and abilities. The course includes paths in Washington Crossing State Park and the Delaware & Raritan Canal towpath.
Start and finish is set for Washington Crossing State Park near the visitor center. Runners should use the parking lots near the park’s main gate, off Route 546.
The course follows park roads and crosses the Route 29 pedestrian overpass to the Delaware & Raritan Canal towpath. It then loops through Titusville village and returns to the starting point.
Prizes are set to be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and top three male and female winners in six age categories. Additionally, Participants will be eligible for randomly drawn special prizes.
This run is sanctioned by NJ-USA Track & Field.
Participants can pre-register, and guarantee a t-shirt for $17 online at active.com or download mail-in race forms available on canalwatch.org or by calling (609) 989-1931. Same-day registration for $20 begins at 8:45 a.m, t-shirts will be handed out as supplies lat.
All proceeds are to be used to continue the Canal Wacth’s goal to protect and enhance the D&R Canal State Park. Major sponsors include Bristol-Myers Squibb, Janssen Pharmaceutica, Lambertville Station, Niece Lumber and Woodwinds.
