West Windsor Arts Council has decorated MarketFair and now presents a Patrons Party, an evening of fine food, wine, music, and art appreciation — as well as a chance to support the arts, on Saturday, September 12, from 7 to 11 p.m., across from Gap Kids. A $35 ticket includes a $15 shopping pass on Saturday, September 26. The event is the official kick-off of the month-long Avenue of the Arts event. Art work from more than 35 area artists will be displayed through Wednesday, September 30, in selected MarketFair stores and the temporary WWAC Avenue of the Arts gallery.

Architect Michael Graves, whose firm created the redesign for MarketFair, will be the guest of honor. Graves served as juror of the artwork on view. All artwork is available for sale and will benefit the West Windsor Arts Council.

West Windsor artists with works on display include Kali McMillan, Mary Ann Weisser, Valerie Ford, and Carol Schepps. Food is from Princeton Caterers, Big Fish, PF Chang’s, and TGIFridays. Wine is from McCaffrey’s Wine and Spirits.

Avenue of the Arts also helps celebrate MarketFair “reimagined” and on Saturday, September 26, the mall, Madison Marquette, TIAA CREF, the West Windsor Arts Council, and Touch of Class Chauffeured Limo will celebrate the mall’s grand re-opening with a day of music, shopping, and food.

“The cooperation and financial support that we have received from MarketFair for Avenue of the Arts has been extraordinary. We couldn’t ask for a better corporate sponsorship which celebrates the re-opening of MarketFair and the imminent opening of the West Windsor Arts Center,” says Ilene Dube, newly elected president of the West Windsor Arts Council.
