According to Chief Elizabeth Bondurant, Bolognese has an associate’s degree from Middlesex County College and is a 2006 graduate of the Somerset County Alternate Route Program. The program gives people interested in becoming police officers the opportunity to attend a certified police training academy at their own expense, prior to being hired by a department.

The 23-year-old Edison resident has served recently for Rutgers Police Department. Currently, Bolognese is on a 12-week training program and will be finished in January.
